Despite a promise I made to myself at the start of 2018, I’m not returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. This has left me somewhat heartbroken.
Luckily for me, the Fringe is arriving in Southampton in the form of acclaimed hit shows and previews alike, in various different venues.
Last night I was lucky enough to see Yolanda Mercy’s honest and relatable one-woman show, Quarter Life Crisis, in Nuffield Southampton Theatre‘s new Studio space.
I felt like I was back where I belong; somewhere near Pleasance Courtyard.
This brings me onto some exciting news.
My passion for theatre has led me to a new challenge; I am now writing theatre reviews for Broadway World!
From now on, I’ll be splitting my theatrical thoughts between this site and theirs, and I am very excited to be joining their team of contributors.
And so, without further ado…you can now read my review of Quarter Life Crisis on the Broadway World website!
I hope you enjoy it, and hopefully, as always, you’ll discover a new artist or an interest in spoken word and performance.
