Since turning 28 last week, there are two things on my mind.
Well, there are a lot of things on my mind. I couldn’t narrow it down to just two; but for the purposes of this blog post, let’s focus on just these:
Ageing, and my body.
They are, of course, connected.
I’m ever more aware of how my body is changing as I get older; and though I still have a lot of anxiety about how I look, I have found that I am more at ease with my imperfections than I was five years ago.
It’s a long process, and some days are better, but I am slowly growing to be more body positive.
I’ve made this the focus of my latest poem for Dear Damsels for their latest theme of ‘Pride’; I’d love it if you read it!
