It’s the end of Mental Health Awareness Week. Like many others out there, I’ve spent the last five days trying to work out how to contribute to this with my own thoughts.
There’s a lot I could say. There’s also a lot other people have already said better than I ever could.
I don’t want to contribute with a long blog post full of cliches, unhelpful advice, and vague statements, and I’m not quite in a place where I can be totally open about all of my own experiences either.
So I’ve done what I do best; I explored it a little in 5,7,5, in the form of an Honest Haiku.
It doesn’t fit in with this year’s themes of Body Image; but it’s my small offering. I am hoping someone might be able to relate to it.
Honest Haiku: Twelve
The ghost of the end
lingers over each good day,
stealing memories.
