I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the world's performance this autumn.
A poem about autumn as the perfect metaphor for mental health.
Autumn has well and truly arrived. The rain has been almost relentless over the last week, the skies are perpetually grey, and all of a sudden the pavements are darker and damper and coated in leaves.
This month, I was back in the studio at BBC Radio Solent to celebrate autumn through poetry.
I wanted to write a little poem dedicated to this time of year. It's not witty, or clever – to be honest it's pretty basic – but it's full of my love for flame and spark.
Autumn is beautiful inside and out. When I started writing poetry again, the first one I finished, shared and performed, was one about the best season of all; and it's time I shared it with you.
