Honest Haiku: Fourteen

There are so many adverts around these days that empower women; shampoo commercials that feature boxing; tampon adverts that show carefree women cycling in bright white shorts; This Girl Can.

I think it’s great. I’m all for smashing gender stereotypes and showing women doing anything they want to. It’s fantastic, for example, that ads can no longer be shown that keep wives in the kitchen, cleaning dirty floors with glee and having the time of their lives making dinner for the kids.

What makes me chuckle, however, is how women are sometimes described; the words that are chosen to advertise these things.

And so, on that note, here is my latest Honest Haiku.
